I'm Sofia, your 10-year experienced design partner.

Nice to meet you 👋

Can you guess what is the #1 quality clients look in freelance graphic designers?

If you thought reliability, you are right.

Growing up, I planned everything.

From summer camps with my friends to meals, to poweranger costumes (with a list of materials included), from house renovations to lists of things I wanted to do.

Today, my project management standards are kept high. Working with me you can be sure our communication will be clear, progress will be structured and deadlines will mean something.

But then, I got my degree and I had no plan.
So I just started.

On my own, from scratch.
I tried, failed, learned, and repeated, and got better, and learned again and again. I’ve managed a co-op, I’ve led small teams, worked long hours, and co-founded a company. I’ve learned what works and what doesn’t, and how to balance a lot of ambitious projects together with a healthy personal life.

I’m not just a freelancer: I’m a graphic designer with a passion for managing, learning, and improving. My job is to help you get the project done, successfully and on time.

Being a designer is my professional priority, but I love to study and I’m always looking to grow, so I take advantage of my excellence in time management to pursue different businesses and ideas. You can find about current ones here.

  • Free and paid content, workshops and consultancy for creative freelancers (in Portuguese). Go to the website

  • Event production and management company, which I co-founded with 2 partners.

  • This Thesis is probably my most ambitious project to date. I’m researching Creative Industries in Low-Density Areas and how they can (or cannot) be a way to reverse some of these areas’ problems.

  • I’m part of the board at Centro Cultural Regional de Vila Real, which integrates the Senior University as well as other local cultural initiatives.
