Transa Cooperativa Cultural
Transa Cooperativa Cultural was a cultural cooperative that operated between 2015 and 2020 in Vila Real. It developed cultural work in artistic production and programming, graphic design, photography, and workshops, among others. Some of the archives can be consulted on Facebook.
Both the logo and the name take inspiration from Caetano Veloso's 1972 album Transa. Using the "N" from the typography of the album cover as the icon of a house, we communicate the warmth and security for the projects and ideas that Transa Cooperativa Cultural represents.
The "N" needed some optical adaptations to behave like an icon. Taking the icon further, we played with the idea of the factory. The factory as a place of creative production, the factory as a group of icon houses, and the factory as a symbol of collective work.
