f/est Amarante is an international photography festival developed by Município de Amarante. It consists of various exhibitions (both inside the city’s museum and other venues and outside, spanning various streets and corners of Amarante), workshops, and activities. Its main partner is Magnum Photos, a legendary international photographers co-op operating since the 1930s and with offices in Paris, New York, London, and Tokyo. For the festival’s communication, since photography was the subject, we didn’t want to overpower it with graphic elements or too many colors. The glass-like element, a remembrance of analog photography mechanisms, brings the only color through reflection.
